How it works
Tesamorelin is a stabilized analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). Like sermorelin, it binds pituitary GHRH receptors and stimulates the body's own GH release; a modification to the peptide extends its half-life relative to native GHRH.
Clinical study has focused on effects on visceral adipose tissue — the metabolically active fat surrounding abdominal organs — where growth-axis support has demonstrated reductions in HIV-associated lipodystrophy.

Tesamorelin is administered subcutaneously; the pituitary retains normal feedback control, so pulsatile release is preserved.
